KIU, Main Campus - Today marks 28 years since Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the King of Tooro, was born. He was born on 16th April 1992 to Patrick David Mathew Kaboyo Olimi III and Queen Best Kemigisa Kaboyo.

King Oyo ascended the throne on 12th September 1995, following the assanination of his father. He became the youngest monarch ever in the world at three and a half years of age, and the 12th ruler of the 180 year Tooro kingdom.

King Oyo became the only monarch to ever grace an event at Kampala International University Main Campus, after presiding over the 2017 Cultural Gala as the Guest of Honour. He planted a tree near the KIU Giraffe statue in the middle of the university's main compound.

Later in 2017, he would also attend KIU's 16 graduation ceremony as the Guest of Honor.
